His Last Letter: Elizabeth I and the Earl of Leicester
by Jeanne Westin
Release Date: August 3, 2010
There is no synopsis available for this yet, but I'm think I'm safe in assuming that it's about the relationship between Elizabeth I and Robert Dudley.
I am looking forward to His Last Letter as I really enjoyed The Virgin's Daughters (read my review HERE).
The cover is beautiful. Hope it's a great story. :)
ReplyDeleteAmy,

Oh wow! That looks great. Thanks for the erm, head's up.
ReplyDeleteWestin has had the luck of great cover art!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to this as well!
ReplyDeleteHow are you liking Weir's The Princes in the Tower?
Gorgeous cover! It manages to marry the publishers' current trend for lopping off heads, while remaining a unique and eye-catching image that would not be mistaken for any other historical fiction semi-decapitation.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about the subject matter, too. I referred to the last letter Leicester wrote to Elizabeth in my chapter on their relationship in ROYAL AFFAIRS. I love it that she was said to have scribbled "his last letter" on it and placed it in a keepsake box by her bed. That broke my heart.
I am drooling.....
ReplyDeleteOh wow. Another reason to make 2010 my year of catching up on HF
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed The Virgin's Daughters so I'm excited for this one! Thanks for letting us know about it!
