About Me

Hi and welcome to Passages to the Past: The Place to be for Historical Fiction!

My name is Amy and I live in a suburb of Atlanta, GA with my wonderful husband, teenage daughter, two sons and 6 crazy animals. I’ve been a reader since a very early age and can’t remember a time that I’ve not had a book in my hand. The one quote that could describe my obsession is from Erasmus: “When I get a little money I buy books; and if any is left I buy food and clothes”, which can be proven by a simple glance at my bare closet and over-flowing, double-stacked bookshelves.

I came to love the historical fiction genre after picking up The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory and shortly after that Mary, Queen of Scots and the Isles by Margaret George and I haven’t looked back since! Once I found the genre I began searching the internet in earnest to find more HF book recommendations and soon found myself immersed in the world of book blogs. After lurking for a while I then decided to try my hand at a book review blog of my own….and VOILA Passages to the Past was born!

Passages to the Past was founded in June 2008 and now has over 1,200 followers! A huge thanks to all of my fabulous followers and blogging friends I have met along the way.
