I've heard a lot of good things about The Concubine. I'm looking forward to seeing what you think!
ReplyDeleteMeghan: I picked it up the other day, then Sharon Kay Penman talked about how it's THE book to read on Anne Boleyn - so I feel pretty good about my choice =) And don't worry all of you will be the first to know what I think!
ReplyDeleteAmy, your mailbox is always full of books I wish were arriving at my house!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to knowing what you think about these. i'm used to seeing Faye Kellerman's name on mysteries.
ReplyDeleteYou get some really good stuff.. lately all I want to do is read this genre.. I seriously need to unbook myself and get to some of these books!! Great mailbox.
ReplyDeleteOh Amy, Great books! I would like them all. Historical fiction is a passion we both share.
ReplyDeleteThose look good.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading :)
Nice mailbox. I love Norah Lofts books and I'm with you Sharon. I've read plenty of Faye Kellerman's mystery/suspense novels. Happy reading
ReplyDeleteHere's my mailbox
I had no idea that Faye Kellerman was also a historical fiction writer. That should be interesting to read.
ReplyDeleteYou must have the most exciting mailbox ever! I wanna live at your place!
ReplyDeleteI have Julia Fox's book. I really must read it one of these days!
ReplyDeletePS There's an award waiting for you at my place
ReplyDeleteI am going have to find your mailbox, figure out your mail-delivery schedule, and start paying off your mailman so I can intercept your packages....
ReplyDeleteLOL at Beth F... I am not telling her where I live!!
ReplyDeleteAnd you have some awesome books there, can't wait for your reviews.
Especially the Jane Boelyn one, I still cannot decide if I should get it... so you'll have to do it for me.
great books in the mail, enjoy them! the Boleyn one looks interesting.

Absolutely don't bother with the Lady Rochford biography. Fox didn't have enough information on her to write a 50 page bio, much less a 300 page one. Which means most of it is rehashing of Anne Boleyn's and Katherine Howard's lives, with a sentence thrown in every once in a while that says "Lady Rochford might have witnessed this."
ReplyDeleteUggggggh.
I always enjoy seeing what you get in your mailbox. The Concubine looks really interesting, as does Jane Boleyn.
