a fabulous award & a meme

The Queen of Cold Black Hearts, Michele at A Reader's Respite, has tagged me with the bookworm meme! The goal with this one is to pick up the book closest to you (which always happens to be the one I am reading at the moment), go to page 56 and write what's on line 5.

Besides having a love of music, Henry V was an enthusiastic sportsman who enjoyed hawking, fishing, wrestling, leaping and running, in which he "excelled commonly all men", being faster, it was said, than a dog or even an arrow. Surprisingly, he had little interest in jousting.

This FABULOUS award was bestowed upon my by Wendi from Wendi's Book Corner! I have to say that I've been lusting after this award, mostly because the button is so damn cute, but also because it means that someone thinks my blog is fabulous and what's better than that?! So, thank you Wendi...I think your blog is fabulous too!

With this award you are to write about five things you are addicted to. So, here goes (and in no particular order)...

1. Books (duh!): really, no explanation needed.
   
2. My family: I have the most loving and caring family a girl could ask for! My daughter and husband are my life and my amazing mother and the rest of my crazy family are food for my soul. They put the "fun" in dysfunctional!
   
3. Animals: I love all animals, mine especially. Nothing brings a smile faster to my face than animals.
   
4. True-crime, detective shows: Law & Order, The Closer, The First 48, American Justice...you name it, I watch it. I'm barred from watching Snapped (the show about women killing their husbands)...he was worried that I was "studying" and not just watching.
   
5. Music: I can thank my mother for my initial intro into music...I was brought up on a little of everything: oldies, blues, rock, soul, country. My iPod is usually playing Pearl Jam, Tori Amos, Kings of Leon and Alanis Morissette....so I would say that I am most definitely addicted to all of them!!
