SYNOPSIS: Some might call it running away . . .
But after a scandalous Hollywood divorce, Blythe Stowe considered it damage control for body and soul. The pain, the humiliation, the daily tabloids shouting details as her famous husband dumped her for her own sister demanded a serious getaway: to the wild coast of Cornwall and a cottage by the sea that her Wyoming grandmother claimed had been home to her ancestors.
Some might call it chance . . .
But Blythe encountered more than just a quaint retreat nestled amid vivid skies and gorgeous ocean. And she had the odd sensation that her wickedly handsome neighbor Lucas Teague was more than a British gentleman going broke. He might be her destiny.

Yes, this was awesome too! I loved the gothicky romantic feel, it really got me in the mood to pick up a Du Maurier. Of course, I didn't, because of the review pile. Le sigh.
ReplyDeleteI jumped at the chance to review this one because of Island of the Swans, too! I'll be starting it soon. I don't think I even bothered to read the description, just because I was so enthusiastic about the author's writing.
ReplyDeleteLove the cover of this book.
ReplyDeleteThe paranormal overtones of the synopsis have me wanting to read it. Sounds good.
This sounds really, really good! After hearing you rave about Island of the Swans I went out and ordered a copy, and I am anxious to get to it!!
ReplyDeleteI have Island of the Swans on my shelf. I didn't know she had written any other books.
ReplyDeleteI am reading this one at the moment and really enjoying it.
