State of the blog address

Good Bye 2008!! For me, it's more like good riddance and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Here's to hoping odd numbered years prove better for me! I must say though that there are a few highlights and among them is starting this blog and becoming part of the book blogosphere. PTTP was born out of my passion for reading historical fiction and the desire to meet more people like me. I never dreamed that anyone would give a hoot what I have to say about, well, anything...but I guess I was wrong and you can't imagine how much pleasure I derive from being part of this little piece of the blog world.

So, I would like to thank all of you who have stopped by, commented and encouraged me in 2008...book bloggers really are the nicest people.

2009 is going to be a great year of reading with all the yummy new releases due out and I have a feeling that it's going to be an even greater year for blogging! Here is what you can look forward to this year at Passages to the Past; more kick ass reviews, updates on future releases, and author updates. Regular features will also be back, such as, This Day in History and new ones will be making their appearances: HF Author Spotlight and Castles or Bust. Make sure you come by to check them out!

I am participating in four Reading Challenges this year (so far): 100+ Reading Challenge hosted by J. Kaye, The Pub Challenge hosted by 1 more chapter, The Historical Fiction Challenge hosted by Royal Reviews and I am co-hosting the 2009 Outlander Challenge with Michele at A Reader's Respite.

So, what are your 2009 blogging plans?

  1. I admire your restraint at joining only 4 challenges!

I am totally over committed and yet I am still thinking about some other challenges - like yours!

    Here's to a great 2009!

  2. I agree with your 'good riddance' and 'don't let the door hit you' attitude towards 2008. I really, really hope 2009 will be better, I do have some goals set up for myself. I'll be putting up a whole post about it as well when it's all shaped in my head.

  3. Not a blogger (except occasionally at AAR), but just wanted to say that I love your blog and look forward to reading in 2009.
