  6. So glad you're doing this challenge. The historic fiction challenge I did last year was deleted some time ago, and I love reading these kinds of books, so I'm glad to join your challenge. I'm going to try to get up to 25 books, more if possible.

I invite you to check out the challenge I'm hosting next year (it's my first one ever):

  12. I'd like to say I'll reach Renaissance level, but it will probably be just over Victorian (I don't read all that many books a year, due to my dyslexia) However, I'm already half way to the 20th Century reader, because I'm reading a historical fiction book right now, and I have three more ARCs in waiting that are historical fiction books.

  13. That time again, ne? WOW..... So last year I got a bit burned out with the specific genre and level I strived for. So I'll be taking it a bit easier this year and striving for a book a month, so somewhere between the Medieval and Renaissance level.

This year, I'll be reading historical fiction that is "new" to me, be it about a historical person I'm not familiar with, from a time period I've not read much on before, a little known aspect on a larger historical event, or an area of the world I've not read about or only a little about before. So looking forward to a productive 2016! :)

  19. Well, I am intrigued, but I have to think a bit before I commit to the challenge; in the meantime, perhaps you and your followers/commenters would stop by my blog and respond to the posting/questions about historical fiction:

I look forward to your visit and comments because I want to make sure we are talking about the same thing when we say the words "historical fiction".

  25. Well, I met my goal and read and reviewed 6 historical fiction books this year. I have to say historical fiction was never on my favorite genres list- but it is now. I really enjoyed the hf novels I read this year! Thanks for hosting!
