2011 Philippa Gregory releases

Book three in Gregory's The Cousins War series, The Lady of the Rivers or I've also seen it called The Rivers Woman,  will be published in the fall of 2011 (some places say August and another stated September) and will tell the Story of Jacquetta of Luxembourg, the mother of Elizabeth Woodville.

In an interview on Goodreads in August 2010, Gregory states that she is planning at least 6 novels, or maybe more in the series so you can expect at least 3 more.
Sounds like I best get started with the first one, I am terribly behind.

What about you?  Have you read them and are you excited for the next one?

Gregory will also be releasing a non-fiction book, along with 2 other historians, that will be titled The Women of the Cousins' War.  It will be released in the US on September 6th and in the UK on September 15th.

SYNOPSIS:  Elizabeth Woodville, The White Queen (2009), Margaret Beaufort, The Red Queen (2010), and Jacquetta, Lady Rivers, The Rivers Woman (2011) are the subjects of the first three novels in Philippa Gregory's Cousins' War series, and of the three biographical essays in this book. Philippa Gregory and two historians, leading experts in their field who helped Philippa to research the novels, tell the extraordinary 'true' stories of the life of these women who until now have been largely forgotten by history, their background and times, highlighting questions which are raised in the fiction and illuminating the novels. With a foreword by Philippa Gregory - in which Philippa writes revealingly about the differences between history and fiction and examines the gaps in the historical record - and beautifully illustrated with rare portraits, The Women of the Cousins' War is an exciting new addition to the Philippa Gregory oeuvre.

  1. I like the White Queen and really liked Elizabeth so good book. The red book was good, but she was so hard to like, so disliked her and the book suffered a bit cos of that. And now I certainly look forward to thsi book

  2. I will have to get the non-fiction book. I like to be able to get the facts about individuals and events that play major roles in works of fiction. The history in historical fiction is important to me. I have not yet had an opportunity to read the first two books in this series, but they are on my list of must reads.

  3. Like you Amy, I really need to get reading this series! I might have to pick up the NF because my knowledge of the period is lacking.

  5. I found the White Queen in a discount book store, of course it was the only copy. Snatched it up but haven't gotten to it yet. I would really like to read them together.
