On this memorial day, I'd like to thank all of the women and men who serve our country and protect our freedom. In particular I would like to acknowledge my grandfather, Major Joseph P. Gear who served in Korea, World War II and Vietnam. He passed away 3 years ago but is missed and loved every day.
So sorry you lost him. It is a shame we have to remind so many to remember servicemen and women and the families waiting for them to come home.

ReplyDeleteWow, he must have been an amazing man to have served and come back from 3 wars. That is wonderful. Sorry you lost him. Great picture you have to remember him though. I have one of my grandfather and me that I cherish as well. He died 12 years ago.
