We visited Positano (on the Amalfi Coast) when we were in Italy. I LOVED riding on the windy roads on the hillside next to the sea! I would love to go back when it's warm (we went in March).
Oohhhhhh, do I want to go there!!! My parents stayed in an amazing hotel on the Amalfi coast, built into the rocks. I guess I'll have to wait till one of my books gets made into a movie, to be able to visit in style!
Ahhhh ... Roderer Cristal tastes on a Prosecco budget. :)
And I always thought that I'd take the Chateaux's over anything.... but yes.... The Almafi Coast... I haven't thought of it in awhile..sigh....so reckless looking but so safe and cozy... sigh.. sigh..
Went there as part of a tour through Italy once. It was unbelievably stunning. Had the drive getting there not been so terrifying for one of my relatives who is afraid of heights (winding roads right on the edge of cliffs, passing and dodging tour buses and various other vehicles) we probably would have gone back before now.
Leslie Carroll -- was the hotel the Santa Catarina?
As it is, I've got it pegged as a honeymoon spot. One of the most spectacular places on earth.
Just gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I would not mind being there about now.
