Looks like I may be in the minority here, I don't like it. As much as I am excited for Madame Tussaud's release, I am not crazy over this cover. The model isn't cutting it for me. I wish instead of using a photographed model they went for a painting of some sort. The dress is gorgeous though.
I really love the cover, it's nice to have a full head profile in it! The only thing that keeps popping-up to me is the French flag, maybe add something else to it...not quite sure.
I gotta agree with jamie here. The model looks like some modern woman in a costume, still its not a bad cover. I wonder if the UK and American ones will be different like before.
I'm not going to lie. I love Michelle's ancient history stuff. I'll read it since I am a fan of hers but I hope she goes back to the Ancient history.
I do like the cover, BUT I want to read the book!! Funny how the UK cover is using a photograph, when it seems to be the US versions that are doing that more and more! Will be looking to see if they actually keep this cover for the US release! Thanks for sharing!
Yay a head :D
ReplyDeleteI do love that, and it is a stunning cover
I really do like the cover - and the fact that she has a head is amazing. I am very excited to read this book, can't wait for it.
ReplyDeleteI really, really like it! Headlessness is not always the way to go!
ReplyDeleteI hardly know how to react to a cover with a head! I think I like it! :-)
ReplyDeleteLezlie
I ran across this yesterday! Its so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSweet! I didn't know she had a new one coming out...

ReplyDeleteAnother question, is it going to be called "Madame Tussaud" in the UK? I think in the US, it's the "Masks of the Revolution"
ReplyDeleteI adore the cover and I hope they keep the same one for the US release.
ReplyDeleteAmy, do you know when it's going to be released? I don't see it listed on Amazon yet.
ReplyDeleteIs it cheaper for them if the model is not shown?
ReplyDeleteJust curious

ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the book!

I like it!!! Of course I like all the covers of Michelle Moran's as they are very eye catching. I do not like the covers with the 'headless people".
ReplyDeleteGod!
ReplyDelete".. and she actually has a head" cracked me up big time!
Lovely cover!
I am looking forward to it!
